November 1, 2021

Dear Super Bee Families,

I hope all of you had a safe and happy October.  It was a busy month at the Literacy Academy at Cleveland.

We held our second Behavior Celebration.  Students who were Respectful, Responsible, and Ready from October 1-27th and thus, had zero behavior referrals (pink slips) were invited to the gym with their class to participate in a Limbo Contest.  The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each class received a Smencil.  The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of each grade level also received a Literacy Academy at Cleveland shirt and pencil sharpener to go with their Smencil.

Picture Day will be on November 2nd. Forms went home on Thursday, October 28th and reminder slips will go home today.

Our Title I Fall Family Literacy Night for Reading will be held in the Bus Loop parking lot on Thursday, November 4th from 5-6 pm.  Flyers for this event went home last week also.  If you have not registered yet, please feel free to call the office to do so at (810)984-6500.

Tuesday, November 23rd is Records Day.  It will be a half day for Literacy Academy at Cleveland students.  Wednesday, November 24th-Friday, November 26th students are off to enjoy Thanksgiving with their friends and families.

Conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 30th-Friday, December 3rd.  Letters will be going home to sign up will be going home the 2nd week of November.  Remember that during conferences, students will attend school 8:15-11:48 am each day.
