What Is Title I?
Title I is a federal program that provides additional funding to schools to help ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to succeed academically, especially those who may need extra support. These funds are used to strengthen instruction, provide additional learning resources, and close achievement gaps.
Skipped Schools are schools that are not directly served with Title I funds because those funds are allocated to other schools in the district with greater need. However, students in Skipped Schools still benefit indirectly from districtwide Title I services, such as tutoring, instructional support, and professional development for teachers.
