Our Operations Department provides critical facility, infrastructure, and management services for the students, staff and community members of Port Huron Schools. Many skilled professionals work daily to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and efficient operation of district facilities.

Our services proudly cover a wide range of non-instructional support for the district, including custodial, maintenance, community relations, snow removal, environmental health, capital projects, transportation and SAFETY.

We provide students and staff a safe, healthy and pleasant environment that will support, stimulate and enhance the educational process, provide superior standards in the operation and maintenance of school buildings and grounds, promote the highest standards of professionalism among our personnel, and to lend its cooperation to educational institutions and civic bodies with educational objectives.

The Port Huron Schools Operations and Facilities maintains daily 21 facilities, 1,324,855 square footage of facility space on nearly 500 acres of land.

St. Clair County Watershed Information

Port Huron Schools is a proud member of the St. Clair County Watershed Advisory Group.

What is a watershed?

It is all of our properties that carry streams, creeks and rivers into Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. It includes wetlands, groundwater and our neighborhood storm drains and ditches. As part of this group, we partner with St. Clair County, local communities and other school districts to meet federal regulations from the Clean Water Act requiring stormwater runoff to be cleaner from our streets, yards, and cities.
