Port Huron Schools Families:

The St. Clair County Public Health Order requiring masks be worn in all K-12 settings will expire at the end of the school day on Friday, January 28, 2022.  After that, masks will be strongly recommended for staff and students at Port Huron Schools.

It is important to note that masking on buses continues to be a federal mandate and still required to ride the school bus.

All Port Huron schools will continue with the following COVID mitigation measures:

  • Make free masks and sanitizer available

  • Provide at home testing for those eligible, as supplies last

  • Continue to collaborate with the St. Clair County Health Department regarding best practices for limiting the spread of the COVID-19 virus

  • School cleaning practices to help maintain healthy facilities

  • MERV 13 HVAC air filtration in learning environments

  • Encourage students and staff to stay home if sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms

We appreciate your cooperation as we continue to keep students safe and in classrooms with our collective efforts. We will continue to closely monitor the situation.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Theo Kerhoulas

Superintendent of Port Huron Schools
