Port Huron High School Families,
This morning we began to get reports of concerning social media posts by presumed Port Huron High School student(s). We immediately began working with our school resource officers, Port Huron Police and the Sheriff’s Department. As a precaution additional officers were sent to our campus.
One of these posts is anonymous and a threat. For this reason and in an abundance of caution we are canceling classes for the rest of the day at Port Huron High School. We will be in a soft lock down until busses get there at 10:30 am. PM TEC classes are canceled.
The Police Departments can track these posts but it takes time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
I ask that you as parents have a serious conversation with your children about their social media activity. I ask that you monitor their accounts with your students tonight - have that important family conversation.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience but safety is our priority. More information will follow as it becomes available.

If you missed us at RISE & Shine on Thursday, August 24th, please come see us at Phoenix. We are open to register new and returning students. The office is open this week, Tuesday-Thursday, 8:00-2:30. The office is closed on Friday and Monday due to the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.
New students will need to have a parent/guardian present for the registration process. All students can pick up their schedule, check-out their Chromebook, and pick-up their yearly registration packet that can be returned on the first day of school.
Reminder: the first day of school is Tuesday, September 5th.

Welcome to the 23-24 school year! We wanted to reach out to let you know about a major change that has occurred over the Summer. We have moved from our Skyward system to a new, more user friendly Student Information System called PowerSchool. You will be able to access your account starting at 1pm Wednesday August 23, 2023.
Your Skyward account information was recently imported into PowerSchool and, following the instructions below, you will be able to access your new PowerSchool Parent account.
Note: Once you are in your account, the first item that you should complete is the “Returning Student Authorization Packet” under the Forms tab in order for us to make sure all information is correct for your students.
To Log Into PowerSchool as a Parent:
Open an internet browser on your computer or phone
Type https://phasd.powerschool.com/public into the address bar
Select Forgot Username or Password.
Enter your previous Skyward Username
Enter the Email Address that was associated with your Skyward account
Note: You must know both of these in order to move forward with the “Forgot Password” steps
Within a few minutes you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your PowerSchool account. Follow those instructions
Once your account is set up, you can also download the mobile app using the same login/password. The District Code you will need is LBGR
If you are not successful in logging into your account after completing the “Forgot Password” steps, please send an email to enrollment@phasd.us letting us know what error you received and someone will find out what is occurring with your account. Please include your name, the email you are using, your student’s name and the building they attend.
If you have any questions or do not know what your Skyward Username was, please email enrollment@phasd.us and we will be able to help you. Thank you for your patience as we move forward with the transition to a new and improved SIS experience for parents.

End of the Year Progress Reports have been emailed out for all In-Person & Virtual 10th & 11th Graders. The email was sent to students as well as primary parents/guardians. In-Person students, if in attendance, have received a hard copy. Hard copies are available in the main office for all interested students.
Progress reports for students currently enrolled as 12th graders and who will not be graduating in June will be emailed next week.

Phoenix Academy Seniors and potential graduates: As a reminder all credits must be completed no later than June 2, 2023, in order to march at graduation.
Our commencement is Monday, June 12, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Port Huron High School Performing Arts Center. Students wishing to participate are required to attend marching practice at 12:00 p.m. on June 12 and return that evening by 5:45 p.m. for a group picture.
For those who have not ordered their cap and gown online, extras were ordered and may be purchased at marching practice. The cost is $35.00. Payment is by cash or check only.
Please call the school office at 810.242.4558 if you plan on participating in commencement.

11th Grade M-STEP Testing will take place on Monday, May 8th. Check-in will be @ 7:30 AM. Testing will take 2 hours and 45 minutes with an end time of approximately 11:00. Mr. Fairman will send out a text with a closer approximation based on the actual testing start times for students needing to be picked-up.
All 11th Grade Students are required to take this assessment.
An informational flyer was emailed to all students and parent/guardian email accounts.
Non-Testers (10th & 12th Graders) have permission to work remotely on this date.
