Schedules and Lockers: A reminder to the students to ALWAYS check the schedules listed in Power School. Your schedule will change as we have had a high number of enrollments this past week.

TEC Openings: RESA has immediate openings in Cyber Security, Metal Machining, Public Safety, Education and Digital Media. If you are a junior or senior, please contact your counselor for more information.

Victory Day: Over 60 people took part in Port Huron High’s Victory Day last Friday night.  This has become an annual tradition that truly inspires our entire community.  Special thanks to Tracey Hopp (Founder), all of our student athletes, Scott Jones and the Port Huron High Marching Machine, and the many volunteers who made this event possible.

Free Breakfast and Lunch:  Port Huron Schools will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch each day.  This is provided through the Federal Community Eligibility Provision.  The menu can be found here.

Breakfast - CHANGE - Breakfast and Lunch will continue to be free for all students this year. Breakfast will only be available from 7:00 to 7:35 AM each morning in the cafeteria.  This change will allow for more items to be available for students. 

Fall Athletics: A reminder that all academically eligible students are invited to join one of our fall sports next week. The schedule has been attached that includes days and times.  The summer schedule is attached. 

Athletic Schedule:  Port Huron High’s most up to date athletic schedule is found online at: https://porthuronhighschool.bigteams.com/ It is recommended that you bookmark this site on your phone. 

Athletic Passes:  If you or your student plan on attending multiple games or sports this year, you should consider purchasing an Athletic Pass, it can save you money.  This pass can be used for entrance to all regular season games (No tournaments or Playoffs) for all in-district home events middle or high.  The cost is $30 for students and $45 for adults (2 for $60).  Passes are available in the main office. A reminder that all senior adults age 60+ are free (No Tournaments or Playoffs).  A senior card is available in the main office. Passes will go on sale during registration periods (Aug 20-22).    

Home Football Game:  This coming Thursday, Port Huron High hosts Anchor Bay for our first football game of the season. Similar to last year, all tickets must be purchased through gofan in advance or at the gate if you are not using an athletic pass.  The cost is $6 per ticket. We will not be accepting cash.  Bags and purses are not allowed with the exception of carrying medically necessary items.  High School students must show ID. Middle and elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent. The theme of this game is Hawaiian.  

Cell Phone Policy: A reminder that cell phones are not to be visible in all classrooms. Parents may continue to drop off items in the secure vestibule.  Staff will send messages in emergency or crucial situations to students during the school day as necessary.  As a reminder classroom instruction will not be interrupted for non-crucial messages (smoothies, gym shoes). Students will be able to pick up during passing time when they are allowed to check their phones. 

Homecoming Information:  This year’s Homecoming football game will be Friday, Oct. 3.  The dance will be Saturday, Oct. 4.  The theme is Candyland.

Powerschool:  All parents and students are highly encouraged to download the Powerschool App.  This app can be utilized to track grades and attendance.  The district code is LBGR. This is also a reminder for parents to update their contact information within Powerschool. 

TEC: TEC will begin on the first day of school. AM Students should be outside of the media center doors by 7:15.  PM students should be in the same location by 11:10. 

First Day of School:  The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 2nd.  Seniors are invited to Lakeside Beach for a  Senior Sunrise at 6:00 AM that day.
