Announcements for 2/26/2024 

The Snowcoming dance will be on Saturday March 2 from 7-10 PM.  If you plan to bring a guest who does not go to Northern, you will need to complete a guest pass application and turn it in to the office by February 28.  You will not be allowed to purchase a ticket for your guest until it is approved.

Anyone that is interested in playing JV girls tennis in the spring can sign up in the athletic office. Beginner and intermediate players are welcome.  Contact Coach Leon (Lay-own) with questions in room 106.

The Girls’ JV-B basketball team ended their season on Friday with a win over Lakeview High School with a score of 31-27. Payton Barnett led all scores with 14 points. Also scoring for the Huskies were Isabella Lorenzo and Sarena Francisco with 5 points, Julia Clark with 3 points and Raylee Shovan and Quinn Mullins with 2 points. Leading the defense for the Huskies were Katie McCulloch, Cassidy Curtis and Bree McIntyre.  Great job ladies!

All seniors are invited to a class meeting Tuesday March 5th 7-7:30am in room 103 to gather suggestions for class song, motto, flower, and colors. Please start thinking of ideas and join us to share your thoughts. 

Attention basketball fans.  The PHN boy's varsity basketball team starts the state tournament this week with a game at Anchor Bay on Wednesday at 5:30 versus the winner of PH and Dakota.  Tickets are $7 on GoFan, and there will be a fan bus leaving PHN at 4:30 PM.  If you would like to take the bus, please sign up in Mr. Jamison's room (#604).  The cost of the bus will be $5. 

The Port Huron Northern Varsity Quizbowl team claimed the league championship Thursday night in Armada.  They finished the regular season with seventeen wins and one loss.  Thursday they were led by Nathan Sparchu who answered 32 questions correctly.  Shayan Lal contributed with 12 correct answers and Paul Backlas answered 9 correctly.

Our First Decision Day Committee Meeting will be this Friday morning at 7:00. All Seniors are welcome to join us in Mrs. Olsen's room - room 319, where we will plan for food trucks, games, prizes, and more.
