Announcements for 3/11/2024
Senior Prom will be Saturday April 20th at City Flats Ballroom. It will be held from 7-11pm, Hors d'oeuvres will be provided, and it is $30 per ticket. Tickets will be sold this week March 11th-15th. There will be no tickets sold at the door.
Anyone that is interested in playing JV girls tennis will meet in Coach Leon's room 106 today at 3 PM. The upcoming season will be discussed and players will try on the uniforms. If the weather permits, we will be outside playing tennis. If the weather does not cooperate, we will be indoors conditioning or playing tennis and practice will end at 4:30, so bring racquets and dress in layers to play inside or out. JV players need to download and sign up for the GroupMe by scanning one of the posters around the school. All updates will be posted on the GroupMe. See Mrs. Leon or Mrs. Varty with questions.
Come to room 405 today after school from 2:30-3:00 to join our Chess Club champions, hot off their tournament wins. New and experienced players are welcome, with prizes for our winners.
Last chance to submit items to the school newspaper is this Wednesday, March 13. The PHN Gazette is looking for any types of articles, including creative writing pieces, poetry and editorials. Send submissions to Mrs. Zyrowski in room 312 or to Lead Editor Peyton Mikolayak.
Spring Sports start Monday, March 11 th . Look for the pink sheets in the hallways for more detailed information. Remember that you MUST have a physical on file before you can tryout. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Taylor in the Athletic Office.
Baseball: Freshman & JV (9 th & 10 th Grade) - Monday, March 11 th - Tuesday, March 12 th in the Gym 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Varsity (11 th & 12 th Grade) - Outdoor tryouts (weather permitting): Monday, March 11 th - Tuesday, March 12 th -2:30 - 4:30 pm or Indoor tryouts: Monday, March 11 th - Tuesday, March 12 th in the Gym 4:45 – 6:15 pm. Wear warmer clothing in case weather allows for outdoor tryouts.
Boys Golf: Monday, March 11 th – Wednesday, March 13 th @ Tee it Up in the Wrigley Building 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Lacrosse: Monday, March 11 th – Tuesday, March 12 th at Central Middle School 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Practice the rest of the week from 3:30 – 5:30 pm
Girls Soccer: Monday, March 11 th – Thursday, March 14 th , Monday, 3/11/2024: 6:40 - 8:40 pm in the gym, Tuesday – Thursday, 3/14 – 3/16: 2:45 – 4:45 pm (outside if the weather is good) or 6:40 – 8:40 pm (inside if the weather is bad). See Mr. Becker to sign up for the remind text info.
Softball: Monday, March 11 th in the Aux Gym- JV 3:30 – 5:30 pm, Varsity 4:15 – 6:40 pm.

Track: Monday, March 11 th 2:45 – 4:00 pm. Meet in the gym. Athletes should dress accordingly to practice outdoors.
