The Northern Girls Soccer team won their season-opener last night, defeating Marine City 6-0. Alayna Cheehob had a hat-trick with 3 goals and an assist. Sydney Simpson had one goal and two assists, Charlotte Eastman had a goal and an assist, and Ava Hunt had a goal. Megan Nicholson had the shutout in goal with help from defenders Ava Cendejas, Paige Pruitt, Beth Stromberg, and Ayrianna Nickson. The team returns to action Monday at home against L'anse Creuse.
